Block A - Exploration. Cambodia

In 2002, the Government of Cambodia awarded Chevron Overseas Petroleum (Cambodia) Ltd a concession for the exploration and production of oil and gas offshore in Block A, an area covering 6,278 km². A five-well exploration and appraisal programme commenced in September 2006 and was completed in December. Four additional wells completed drilling in 2007. Three successful exploration wells were drilled in 2010. Block A is Cambodia’s first oil and gas field development.
