Local Business Advice
Each of the markets covered from the EIC’s Kuala Lumpur office are individually different so there will be occasions when one set of rules relevant to one market will not apply to another even though they may be geographically close to one another. EIC member companies can take advantage of local mentoring to assist them in formulating their business expansion plans within the region. This can be varied dependent upon requirements but can easily range from cross cultural advice to assistance on the selection of agents to help with pre-qualification and/or vendor registration requirements or knowing what is required in order to set up a local business. We work on the principal that contacts, information and knowledge are the key ingredients to any successful business expansion plan and this can prove absolutely invaluable, especially to the inexperienced stranger who might be completely new to the market or region under review.
A popular source of information, the monthly EIC Newsbriefs summarise the latest industry news. They are produced by each UK region and overseas office and provide a summary of stories from across each area addressing all sectors and geographical regions covered. With the busy professional in mind, they present the salient points of the stories in short, easily digested paragraphs. They provide the reader with the key facts and in many cases a link to the original article so that further information can be obtained if desired.
The Newsbriefs are available exclusively to EIC members. If you would like a copy to be sent to your inbox every month, you will need to be added to the mailing list. Please contact the relevant office to request this.
Local Knowledge, Information & Assistance
A comprehensive library of local information is available. This can take the form of available local amenities, locations, land marks and anything else that the member might require whilst visiting the region. There are also a number of Trade Directories, specialist publications, sector related statistics and local newspapers available for use as and when required.
Business Presentations and Networking Events
A sustained effort is made to deliver a business related event every month for the local membership where they have the opportunity to network with their peers within the energy industry whilst also having the chance to meet and hear from high profile selected parties who are locally involved in our sectors.
